KK7097 is an acrylic-based aqueous coating formulated with materials that are Nestle Compliant and listed on Part A or B of the Swiss Ordinance for application to poly coated paperboard for packaging where low odor and low migration are a concern. KK7097 is typically applied in-line over wet ink via an anilox coating system. Kustom Koatings aqueous coatings do not contain zinc oxide, alcohol, or any HAP’s materials.

Details
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
• For stocks with a minimum 40 dyne level
• Formulated specifically for excellent adhesion to poly board stocks over poly board lithographic inks
• Care should be exercised if double-sided poly board is going to be used. We recommend that this be evaluated very carefully before using and monitored while production jobs are running. There are many variables that could contribute to blocking/sticking under these conditions
• Faster drying than most poly board coatings without mud cracking over heavy ink coverage
• Exhibits good gloss and clarity
• Exhibits good rub and scuff resistance
• Not considered suitable for hot foil stamping, imprinting and gluing applications
