Primers and Coatings

KKLP411 is formulated as a benzophenone free, low gloss UV coating for application over digital ink like HP Indigo. KKLP411 is specifically formulated to improve mechanical wear, rub resistance and water and chemical resistance. KKLP411 achieves these properties without the need of additional additives or crosslinkers and could be a replacement for DG901.

JetPrime® WB 1100 is formulated for water-based inkjet inks for coated offset substrates, this water-based primer offers low coat weight, superior print quality and enhanced color gamut compared to unprimed sheets.

KK747 is a benzophenone free, high gloss UV coating with superior receptivity properties like thermal transfer, foil stamping and other finishing applications. KK747 has high slip properties for better down-stream properties and is typically applied over hybrid or UV inks on various paper and nonporous substrates.

KK890 is a non-water containing, benzophenone free, UV curable matte coating recommended for use as a soft-touch tactile coating. KK890 should be applied in-line over energy curable litho or flexo inks as well as aqueous flexo ink systems where a soft feel is desired. KK890 does NOT contain water and will cure and protect like a standard matte UV coating. Typical applications include covers, folding cartons and non-porous labels.

KK8005 is an acrylic-based aqueous coating for application to paperboard with in-line coater/dampeners. KK8005 is has lower slide angle properties for increased slip to help during finishing. Typical applications include commercial sheetfed work when one coating is desired for broad use in the pressroom.

KK682 is formulated as a high gloss UV coating with wide range chemical resistance and submersion water resistance when applied over hybrid or UV inks on select paper and nonporous stocks. Typical applications of KK682 are outdoor, personal care or food service where weatherability and broad chemical resistance are critical.

KK684 is formulated as a matte UV coating with wide range chemical resistance and submersion water resistance when applied over hybrid or UV inks on select paper and nonporous stocks. Typical applications of KK684 are outdoor, personal care or food service where weatherability and broad chemical resistance are critical.

KK7083 is an acrylic-based aqueous coating formulated with materials free of prop 65 chemicals for application to paper, paperboard and non-porous substrates where low odor and low migration are a concern. KK7083 is typically applied with an anilox coating system to provide best results. Kustom Koatings aqueous coatings do not contain zinc oxide, alcohol, or any HAP’s materials.

KKLP5300 is an acrylic-based aqueous coating formulated with materials that are Nestle Compliant and listed on Part A or B of the Swiss Ordinance for application to various paperboard substrates including poly board for packaging where low odor and low migration are a concern. KKLP5300 is typically applied in-line via an anilox coating system. Kustom Koatings aqueous coatings do not contain zinc oxide, alcohol, or any HAP’s materials.
