Primers and Coatings

DigiPrime® Icon primers are designed for converters who prepare substrates off-line, providing better runnability and cleanability, lower odor, and superior adhesion. These press-ready, water-based primers are designed for flexographic or gravure applications, and optimize most film and paper substrates. They are very stable in liquid form. Coated substrates have a shelf life of 12 months or more, and will not yellow or show degradation of print quality or adhesion.

DigiPrime®, used by many digital press owners around the world because of its ability to improve ink receptivity, rub resistance, and image quality on most types of paper, plastic, and film, also provides improved productivity and efficiency for digital printing on both commercial and labels and packaging presses.

JetPrime® UV120 provides improved adhesion and print quality when printing with UV Inkjet on paper substrates (particularly for wine labels) as well as for coated, uncoated, and direct thermal paper.

Primers explicitly designed for use on HP Indigo equipment with an in-line priming applicator to impart a print-receptive surface to most substrates, and improve the ink transfer and adhesion of HP Indigo ElectroInk.

DigiPrime® Vision water-based digital print primers are designed specifically for use in the in-line priming units of HP Indigo Digital Presses. These primers optimize a wide range of substrates for labels, flexible packaging, and commercial applications immediately prior to printing.

DigiGuard® water-based overprint varnishes protect and enhance the appearance of printed materials. Various grades are available for commercial print jobs; form, fill and seal packaging; and food contact applications.

KK390 is recommended for use as a high gloss UV coating for plastic shrink sleeve. KK390 is formulated for good slip and other unique properties specifically for shrink sleeve application.
